Both Third seeds win their first playoff game.

The Sonics and the Celtics have won their playoff openers.

The Sonics had a big lead in the game until Sacramento inched closer and closer. Seattle held on to post their first win in the playoffs this year. Both teams shot below 27% from downtown, it was disappointing to see 2 great 3-point shooting teams miss so many times.

Sacramento's Brad Miller shot 3 for 3 in 8 mins coming off a leg injury while Peja Stojakovic shot 4-9 from the arc. Cuttino Mobley was 10-19 from the field and had a great night but Mike Bibby was terrible, he made only 1 shot out of 16 attempts, a horrendous performance. The Sonics Jerome James had an amazing night with 17 point 15 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Reggie Evans who ranked #1 in the NBA in Rebounds Per 48 Minutes at (18.8) cleaned up the boards had 15 rebounds 8 of which came from the offensive end.

Hey Kings, next game grab more boards and break a leg (or two).

Celtic fans had a lot to cheer about as they destroyed the Pacers. Boston outplayed Indiana and made easy work of Miller and his teammates. The Celtics lead by as many as 36 points to beat the yellow team silly. Expect a better performance from the Pacers as they try to save face on such a lopsided game.

Come on Indiana you can do better than that! At least keep up with the scoring. Oh and don't let the young Celtics school you. Other wise it's Miller time's up.
